Along with with its neighbors Chassagne-Montrachet and Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet is located in the central part of the Côte de Beaune, some of the finest white wine vineyards in the world. Puligny’s Premier Cru vineyards stretch across the upper half of the Puligny slope, from Meursault to Chassagne. Champ Gain is a superb climat classified 1er Cru and is situated on the lower level of the hill of Mont Rachet. In winemaking, the Chardonnay grapes are fermented and matured in oak barrels for about 14 months. This wine can age for 10-15 years.
Maison Louis Jadot practices traditional oak vinification to yield a full-flavored yet graceful wine of exceptional balance and breed, with complex, distinctive aromas typical of Puligny which carry onto the palate and into the persistent, lingering finish.
