Rick Bonitati joined the Sequoia Grove Winery team as President in 2018. With over 30 years of experience in the fine wine business, Rick’s passion for premium Napa Valley wines is a perfect addition to the leadership team.

After graduating from University of Miami in Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Merchandising in 1984, Rick visited California for the first time. He spent a week in Napa Valley and immediately fell in love with the region, the wines and the people. It was this visit that solidified a defining moment as he set a goal to be part of the Napa Valley wine community.

Fast forward three decades, Rick is an accomplished leader who quickly developed his career in winery production, viticulture, and operations along with sales and marketing for several nationally recognized wineries.

Living and working in wine country for the past 23 years, Rick appreciates the diversity and heritage of precision farming, sustainability and winemaking that is reflected in our family-owned winery. Inspired by the natural wonders and the community of Napa Valley along with a dedication to excellence, Rick is elated to help steward the subsequent chapters in the future of Sequoia Grove Winery.
