The grapes of this Pinot Noir are 100% hand-harvested and sourced from vines grown on the famed alluvial soils of the Martinborough region. Grapes are destemmed prior to whole-bunch fermentation in a combination of open top stainless steel tanks and French oak cuves, using indigenous yeasts. The wine ages for ten months in French oak barriques, 28% new, before being fined, course filtered and bottled.

Harvest Note
The 2024 vintage in Martinborough is being hailed as one of the best ever. Despite a cool, wet start that affected fruit set, the season turned around in December with warm, dry, and disease-free conditions that continued through harvest. This allowed for fruit with exceptional balance—showing ripe tannins, vibrant acidity, and well-developed flavors.
Tasting Note
Ruby red colour with dark magenta hues. Aromas of ripe strawberries, cherries and red liquorice jump from the glass accompanied by hints of dried lavender and blackcurrant. The palate is plush and fruit driven. Flavors of strawberries and red cherries fill the mouth and finish with dusty cocoa powder-like tannin.
