Rooted in the heart of Rutherford, this 2023 Cabernet is built on more than 53% Rutherford-grown fruit from three exceptional sites. The Sequoia Grove Estate and Morisoli Vineyard sit on the western bench, their alluvial soils lending classic Rutherford character and depth. Tonella Estate Vineyard anchors the eastern benchlands, where volcanic soils impart structure and concentration. These vineyards capture the full spectrum of what makes Rutherford one of Napa's most celebrated appellations.
Harvest Note
2023 is anticipated to be ranked as one of the top vintages of Napa Valley. A wet winter and ample spring rain alleviated years of drought. As one of the coolest vintages in the past 40 years, creating a true ‘winemaker’s vintage’ which allowed us time to pick at peak character and developed complexity.
Tasting Note
Cassis, graphite, espresso, olive, bay, violet, tobacco. Taut and muscular palate: blackberry, dark plum, mocha, silky frame. Granite minerality through a long, structured finish. Drink now or cellar 10+ years.
