Five distinctive varietals were chosen for this blend. After harvest and delivery to the crush pad, the grapes were sent to separate tanks for a cold soak to develop optimal color and flavor. Syrah and Mourvedre fermented in open top tanks while Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot went to closed-top tanks. The small percentage of Malbec co-fermented with some of the Cabernet Sauvignon before all varietals were aged in French oak barrels and masterfully blended for taste and balance before bottling. This wine showcases unique characteristics of Sonoma’s diverse wine growing regions with fruit sourced from Sonoma, Alexander, and Dry Creek Valley.

Harvest Note
Cooler temperatures and an abundance of spring rains in 2023 pushed back the first day of harvest to the beginning of September. The later start and extra ripening time for the fruit allowed flavors and color to develop slowly for depth and concentration. Warm fall days spread out harvest to the end of October for many of the red varieties, with a final pick of Merlot delivered to the winery on November 2.
Tasting Note
This unique blend of Bordeaux and Rhone varietals highlights the flavors of these renowned regions in a balanced and vibrant blend. Expressive aromas of strawberry, cherry cola, peppercorn and vanilla merge with flavors of black cherry syrup, elderberry and white chocolate. The finish is broad and structured in this full-flavored wine.
