Quinta do Portal, a family-owned Portuguese estate and pioneering "Boutique Winery," has been producing award-winning Douro wines under the guidance of Paulo Coutinho and Pascal Chatonnet since the 1990s. In March 2024, its acquisition by The Fladgate Partnership reinforced a commitment to tradition, quality, and future growth.

Harvest Note
2023 began favorably with abundant rain and moderate temperatures that replenished water reserves. Wines showed excellent preserved acidity, while high-altitude vineyards performed particularly well.
Tasting Note
Concentrated ruby color with aromas of ripe black fruit and floral notes in harmony with notes of toast from oak. Expressive on the palate, it has lovely acidity and a pleasant fruity and toasty aftertaste. The wine is long and complex and will develop further with more time in bottle.
Food Pairing
Enjoy on it's own or with your favorite red meat or cheese
