The Jadot holding in Les Boudots dates to 1970 and comprises just over 1.2 acre. This is at the northern edge of Nuits-St-Georges near the border with Vosne-Romanee, and the wines share many of the traits of this illustrious northern neighbor. Soils are reddish clay over limestone, and the wines show a lovely combination of energy and finesse.

Harvest Note
2023 was a hot and dry growing season which was saved by significant rain in June. This allowed the vines to withstand summer heat and drought and led to ideal sanitary conditions and a modest yield yet concentrated vintage.
Tasting Note
This is a full-bodied dry red from a highly regarded terroir. Aromas include dark berry fruit and bitter chocolate, the texture is dense yet supple with velvety tannins. Alcohol is slightly high yet is expressed as a smooth texture rather than heat. The finish is very long with evolving flavors of mocha, brown spice, and candied cherry.
