This Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced primarily from Montes’ Finca Apalta Estate, with additional fruit from the Marchigüe Estate. Both vineyards feature granite-based soils with varying levels of decomposition, along with differences in clay content, depth, and organic matter shaped by long-term river deposits and erosion. Soils are generally deeper on flatter terrain and thinner near the foothills and higher elevations, with Cabernet Sauvignon planted in deeper soils that provide moderate moisture retention.

Harvest Note
In the Colchagua Valley, the season began cool with no major frost, followed by warmer-than-average late spring temperatures and normal rainfall. Summer arrived early and warm, with higher thermal accumulation—especially in March—leading to an earlier harvest. Picking was completed before the first rains, ensuring full maturity, excellent fruit health, and wines of notable complexity, concentration, and freshness.
Tasting Note
Ruby-red in color, the nose shows expressive aromas of cherry, strawberry, and plum, complemented by subtle notes of tobacco and vanilla. The palate is balanced and medium-bodied, with silky tannins and a smooth, satisfying finish.
Food Pairing
Pairs well with braised beef with French fries, steak and eggs, paella, cannelloni or lasagna.
