The vineyards producing the Montes Classic Series Chardonnay are located in three Central Valley regions: Colchagua, Curicó, and Maule. Each site contributes distinct characteristics to the final wine. All vines are vertically shoot-positioned and drip-irrigated, with yields limited to no more than 11,500 kg per hectare. This careful management ensures high-quality, healthy grapes with even ripening at harvest.

Harvest Note
Spring frosts in the Central Valley reduced yields, with smaller, lighter clusters across all varieties. A hot summer from mid-December to April led to an early harvest. Careful irrigation and canopy management were key to protecting the fruit, preventing sunburn, and preserving freshness. Grapes were hand-harvested and processed either by direct pressing with stems or a cold soak without stems for up to 6 hours on skins. After 24 hours of settling, the juice is racked into fermentation vessels. Alcoholic fermentation, using selected yeasts, lasted up to 20 days at 12º–14 ºC (53º–57ºF). Malolactic conversion was blocked to preserve freshness.
Tasting Note
Medium gold with green hues, this wine shows intense tropical fruit aromas with sweet citrus notes. Subtle hints of toasted nuts, nougat, and vanilla reflect its barrel aging. Fresh and vibrant on the palate, it offers medium body and a long, lively finish.
Food Pairing
Pairs with salmon ceviche, sea bass with sautéed mushrooms and rice, fettuccini Alfredo, razor clams Parmesan.
