The property's 151 acres are spread over clay-limestone soils that dominate the gently hills of this property. The entire vineyard is dry farmed. With a base of red wine (Principal) and our use of gravity flow winemaking, we are able to produce a red wine that reflects the nature of the limestone rich soils: with its expressive fruit, vibrant acidity, minerality and rich texture.

Harvest Note
A very hot and dry year that was able to properly ripen Cabernet Sauvignon and Touriga Nacional. However, due to the lack of rainfall, some ripening blockages occurred, requiring a strict selection when assembling the blends.
Tasting Note
Deep Ruby. Aroma of dark fruit like blackberry and plum combined with rockrose, balsamic notes and leather. Full-bodied, with chalky tannins wrapped in concentrated fruit. Lively acidity. Long spicy finish.
Food Pairing
Slow roasted leg of lamb. The fattiness of the meat, with the vibrant acidity of the wine and fresh, polished fruit would be a perfect accompaniment. A beautiful, seared steak or even a rich meat stew, like a beef bourguignon.
