Vosne-Romanée has 14 Premiers Crus and 7 Grands Crus. The Premier Cru of Les Suchots consists of two contiguous parcels just south of Les Echézeaux. The Pinot Noir grapes are fermented in vats for up to one month, and then the wine is matured in oak barrels for 15 months.
Les Suchots combines the richness of Le Richebourg with the delicacy of Romanée Saint-Vivant, its two neighbors to the south. It is velvety yet refined, with ripe fruit aromas, exotic spices and oak leading to an extended finish. It will develop in the bottle for 12 to 15 years.
