Strada Rossa Chianti is produced in Cerreto Guidi, a small town located in the Tuscan hills of Italy between Florence and Pisa. This wine is a rich, full-bodied wine which undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation for 10 days before élevage in both traditional concrete vats and oak barrels. This unique aging in large French barrels (20-hectolitre barriques) allows the wine to develop more richness and oak influence than your everyday Chianti, showcasing deeper notes of ripe red fruit and spice.
This modern-style Chianti offers an expressive bouquet of ripe dark red fruit, layered with notes of vanilla and spice and a touch of cocoa. The palate is rich and generous, showcasing dark berry fruit flavors framed by supple tannins and well-integrated oak aging.
