Preuses is one of the smaller Chablis Grand Cru sites with just under 12 hectares of surface and an irregular shape. The lower section is quite steeply sloped, and the soil is very rocky. The wine is carefully matured in large oak barrels to preserve the powerful structure.
This is a full bodied and powerful, complex white wine which balances freshness and vigor with a deep richness. Characterized by intense stony aromas as well as lime zest and honey, these wines are often best with several years of aging, and will easily last for 10 – 15 years in the cellar.
