From its humble beginnings, with a handful of wineries in the late 1800s, Napa Valley has evolved into a sought-after tourist destination a century later. Its vine-lined estates, along with the canyons of Yosemite and Disneyland, are among California’s biggest attractions.
However, the types of tourists in the region are constantly changing. So, I took an insider look at how the new demographics are unfolding and spoke to the executive chef at Cakebread Cellars, Brian Streeter, who has the distinction of having been at the culinary helm of the winery for 35 years.
