Broadcast live on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, the annual Taittinger Moment toast was watched by over five million viewers, marking the opening of the awards ceremony.
For the toast, Vitalie Taittinger, Global Ambassador and Artistic Director of the historic Champagne house, joined Matt Czuchry, star of the CBS drama “The Good Wife.” Honored with three consecutive Actor® nominations in the category of Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, Matt was part of a veritable galaxy of star actors, including: Kevin Bacon, Kenneth Branagh, Jean Dujardin, Kyle Chandler, Patrick Duffy, Tina Fey, Linda Gray, Larry Hagman, Armie Hammer, Regina King, John Krasinski, Julianna Margulies, Natalie Portman, Maya Rudolph, Kyra Sedgwick, Meryl Streep, Dick Van Dyke and Michelle Williams.
“Elegance, beauty, and passion define Champagne Taittinger and make the SAG Awards such a dazzling night. We are thrilled to toast to actors—as their gifted performances have the power to move and inspire, like Champagne,” said Vitalie.
To help celebrate Champagne Taittinger’s 12th year toasting film and television’s brightest stars at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, a whopping 235 magnums of Champagne Taittinger’s Brut La Française NV were uncorked.
