The commune of Savigny-lès-Beaune is in the north of the Côte de Beaune and produces 90% red wines. Savigny-lès-Beaune Blanc is a blend of Pinot Blanc, which lends a mellow texture, and Chardonnay, which provides finesse and the potential to age. Fermentation and maturation takes place in oak barrels for a total of 15 to 17 months.
This mellow, perfumed wine is readily approachable but will develop in the bottle for five to eight years.
