The Côte de Nuits is the northern of the two districts of the Côte d’Or. Le Vaucrain is a 8.75-acre vineyard in the village of Comblanchien, purchased by Louis Jadot in 1996; of this, 6.25 acres are planted with Pinot Noir and 1 hectare with Chardonnay. The Pinot Noir is fermented in vats and then matured in oak barrels.
Medium-bodied with cherry and earthy aromas and flavors, this Pinot Noir has fine tannins that will reward cellaring for up to seven years.
