Jadot is fortunate to be one of 5 owners of this unique Premier Cru terroir. The Jadot parcel is 2.47 acres and stretches from the top of the slope to the bottom, allowing for a perfect balance of soil characteristics. This slope is north of the Gevrey "combe" or slight valley, with full Southeast exposure. Soils range from thin with limestone pebbles at the upper slope, to dense red clay at the base. This vineyard is revered for wine quality and longevity and regarded as a shadow Grand Cru.

Harvest Note
The 2024 vintage was challenging and ultimately saw severely reduced yields due to excessive rainfall with warm temperatures, leading to poor flowering and uneven fruit set and pressure from downy mildew. Low lying parcels suffered the most. Harvest began on September 13th and the yields, while small, arrived in good condition.
Tasting Note
This full-bodied dry red wine reflects the classic Gevrey "power tempered with elegance" motif. Initial aromas tend toward bing cherry, ground espresso and mocha, with complex flavors over the long finish.

In France, makes a silky, deceptively powerful wine of elegant, complex aromas and subtle, red fruit flavors, with earthy, floral, mushroom and mineral notes. In California, shows ripe, sweet characters.
