This steep terroir has been partly abandoned in the post war period due to the difficulty of working these slopes, especially on the upper part of the cru where we planted the Pinot Gris. The Oligocene limestone gives this grape variety a firm structure. Heimbourg is often distinguished by a more intense fruity aroma.

Harvest Note
The 2024 vintage will certainly be remembered as an unusual one which defied climate change. Rainfall was 30% to 50% above average and extremely high temperatures were largely avoided. Well-drained soils were key to achieving consistent fermentations.
Tasting Note
The nose is still reserved but slowly opens up to reveal smoky, toasted aromas. The palate is enveloping, open, more expressive than the nose, with lovely length and intensity.
