Each year, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo’s Roundup and Best Bites event marks the official start of rodeo season.
The sold-out tasting event on Sunday brought together more than 100 restaurants and culinary vendors, dishing out their “best bites” to a crowd of more than 6,000 guests spread across multiple halls at NRG Center. Nearly 500 wines were poured, all medalists from the rodeo’s International Wine Competition, including the Grand Champion, Chimney Rock Cabernet Sauvignon, and the Reserve Grand Champion, Sequoia Grove Chardonnay.
