This unique white wine originates from a two acre site within the village of Fixin, just north of Gevrey-Chambertin. With soils more suited to red wine production, this white is a rarity. The walled vineyard (or Clos) is named for a previous owner. Production is the same as for all Jadot whites, with sorting and destemming before gentle pressing and fermentation with natural yeasts. The malolactic fermentation is controlled based upon the vintage to retain vibrancy over the long finish.

Harvest Note
2023 was a hot and dry growing season which was saved by significant rain in June. This allowed the vines to withstand summer heat and drought and led to ideal sanitary conditions and a modest yield yet concentrated vintage.
Tasting Note
This dry white presents classic citrus skin and damp earth aromas, with a medium-bodied initial presence on the palate. There is a distinctive earthy saline grace note in the background which contributes to the overall bold impression.
