Montagny is a unique village that is exclusively devoted to Chardonnay planted on thin limestone soils and fairly steep slopes. There are 49 individual "climats" (vineyards) classified as Premier Cru, each with a slightly different character. Les Chaniots is one of the larger terroirs and is located at the Southeast edge of the appellation in the commune of Jully-les-Buxy.

Harvest Note
2023 was a hot and dry growing season which was saved by significant rain in June. This allowed the vines to withstand summer heat and drought and led to ideal sanitary conditions and a modest yield yet concentrated vintage.
Tasting Note
This is a sleek and seductive white Burgundy, with lively tension and ripe fruit flavors. The wine is dry with an expansive texture, and features notes of hazelnut and peach, turning to nuances of stone and spice over the long finish.
