This 22-acre appellation lies in the heart of the larger Echezeaux vineyard which itself forms the link between Vougeot and Vosne-Romanée. On a gentle slope-oriented Southeast and with soils of small pebbles over light clay, these wines are renowned for their subtle power and spice-infused aromas.

Harvest Note
Winter and early Spring were unusually warm and dry however March brought much-needed rainfall which led to homogenous flowering in May. Stormy weather in June was followed by mild late summer, and an unusual September heat wave. Harvest was finished on September 16th, and by picking only in the cool morning hours freshness was preserved.
Tasting Note
These are wines that exemplify the paradox of great Burgundy - power and concentration yet also an ethereal elegance. Enticing aromas of jasmine and sweet tea and a velvety mouthfeel are supported through the long finish with refreshing acidity and fine tannins.

About the Grape
