This rare wine is the product of two small parcels named Les Chaumes and La Voierose, which combined comprise less than half an acre. These are located on the lower slopes of the Corton hill, below Les Pougets and oriented directly South. Soils here are red with clay and small stones. These vines typically produce abundant and ripe grapes with the potential for full-bodied and powerful wines.
Corton red wines are typically full-bodied with firm structure, dark berry fruit with earth nuances, and savory tannins. These are wines which reward patience, as the initial austerity refines and unfolds to reveal subtle floral and spice notes and an impressively long finish.
