Teroldego Rotaliano has deep, intense ruby in color with purple hues and a very rich, fragrant bouquet. It is powerful, full-bodied, full of zest and character and deliciously fruity. Firm, round, supple and appealing, its ripe, plump, juicy flavors of wild blackberries, blueberry and raspberry, balsamic and violet notes and subtle almond finish combine scrumptiousness and finesse, charm and concentration, power and elegance. Enjoyable and food-friendly right from release, it is also cellar-worthy, with a good ten years’ longevity! Serve at cellar temperature, around 62.6 - 64.4 °F.

This distinctively sweet “sec” Champagne (with 18 g/l residual sugar) is pale yellow in color with shimmering highlights and bubbles that form a delicate ring of fine foam. On the nose there are aromas of white flowers, yellow peach and dried apricots. The palate is smooth and creamy yet very crisp and gives way to flavors of raisins and fruit in syrup. This mature, rich and round wine culminates in a long, smooth finish.

The Guimaraens 2013 displays the opulent fruit character which defines the Fonseca house style. The nose opens with a surge of powerful woodland aroma, rich and succulent but not over-ripe. Hints of apricot emerge, followed by warmer notes of cedar, wood smoke and dark chocolate. Discreet floral and herbal scents contribute additional complexity. The palate abounds with rich dark berry flavors while dense, compact tannins provide impressive volume and weight. Deceptively velvety on the mid-palate, the tannins emerge with a firm, confident grip on the finish. An attractive choice for early drinking, the Guimaraens has the background and stamina to ensure a long life in bottle.
