The 2013 Barolo Riserva Cerequio is a potent wine. A blast of dark fruit, licorice, spice, menthol, new leather, pine and chocolate infuses the 2013 with quite a bit of character. This is an especially concentrated style, with a lot of tannin, and yet it all comes together. There is some oak influence and that also means the 2013 is starting to show the first signs of aromatic and flavor maturity. I would drink it over the next decade or so.
