Medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, it’s structured with powdery tannins, concluding with a long, fresh, delicate finish. With its elegant, controlled power, this stunning Cornas is particularly charming.

The 2023 Cornas Domaine de Saint Pierre sets its aromatic tone with crushed flowers, fleshy scents, blackberry and pencil shavings. Mid-to-large in palate weight and gently framed around polished tannins, the 2023 fans out with savory persistence.

Its ripe black cherry, pencil shaving, crushed violet and cedar aromas introduce it. Full-bodied, savory and structured, the 2022 is a very good Cornas, closing with afterglow on the complex finish.

Dense purple-hued, the 2024 Cornas Domaine De Saint Pierre offers classic blue fruits, fresh fig, graphite, and crushed stone aromatics. It’s medium-bodied on the palate, with ripe, polished, focused tannins, nicely integrated acidity, and outstanding length. This beautiful, old school, fresh, austere Cornas will benefit from bottle age and should evolve beautifully over the coming 12-15 years. Drink 2028-2043.

Darker berries, fresh fig, graphite, burning embers, and violet notes all shine from the 2023 Cornas Domaine De Saint Pierre, which was aged 12 months in concrete eggs and 20% new French oak barrels and demi-muids. It’s medium-bodied, with a nicely textured, layered mid-palate, firm tannins, and outstanding length. This is another pure, focused, firmer 2023 that will benefit from 4-5 years of bottle age yet evolve gracefully over the following 15-20 years. Drink 2030-2050.
