A suave, stylish white that reflects the cooler vintage in its leaner frame. Racy acidity powers nectarine, green melon, white pepper and honeysuckle blossom notes framed by wet stone and a saline streak. Shows purity and focus.

Now produced every year, the 2024 Domaine de la Chapelle Hermitage Blanc reveals a slightly reductive bouquet with aromas of almond, white fruits and spices, complemented by a delicate touch of oak. Medium- to full-bodied, enveloping and dense, it’s built around a fleshy core of fruit framed by phenolic bitterness, concluding with a long, saline and mineral finish.

A varietal Marsanne, the 2024 Crozes-Hermitage Blanc Domaine de Roure first wafts notes of vivid honeysuckle, flinty lemon flesh, yellow apple and dried blossom aromatics. Concluding with gentle phenolic bite, the 2024 is a soundly built white Crozes, finishing out with drive and elegance on the said close.

The nose of acacia, orange blossoms and citrus is so delightful you could linger there. Terrific vitality and juiciness on the medium-bodied palate for this appellation. The chalky acidity gives it excellent drive that the zesty citrus character deftly complements.

All Marsanne from slopes with deep soils of white earth and loess, the 2024 Crozes-Hermitage Domaine De Roure Blanc is aged in concrete eggs and demi-muids. Bright citrus, honeyed lemon, salty minerality, and white flowers define the aromatics, and it’s medium-bodied, very fresh, focused, and steely on the palate. It has bright acidity, obvious minerality, and outstanding length, cutting a very fine line where other wines show more breadth. Give it a year of bottle age and drink over the following 4-5 years. Drink 2027-2032.
