A steely minerality meets with light marzipan and apple juice aromas on the nose of this bottling. The palate gets tighter, showing apple skin and flesh flavors.
Generous aromas of lemon confit, grilled pineapple, toasted nuts and brioche. The palate is medium- to full-bodied with bright acidity and a creamy texture, giving flavors of grapefruit, lime curd and salted popcorn. Nice freshness from blocking some malolactic fermentation.
A luscious array of lemon custard, salted melon, lime blossom, and vanilla bean. Acidity strikes a pose, allowing the richness of pear tart to show its leaner nature. Delicious and complex.
This straw-colored Chardonnay from Edna Valley opens with an apricot, grapefruit, and mango bouquet with hints of pineapple. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel very bright, round, and fresh. The flavor profile is a chalky minerality, lemon and mild Bartlett pear. I also detected hints of yellow peach, gentle pineapple and subtle vanilla and oak. The finish is fades away nicely.
