The 2022 Merlot Montes Alpha comes from Marchigüe, Colchagua and was aged for 12 months in French barrels, one-third of which were new. Garnet in hue, this offers intense aromas of blackberry and cassis with a hint of pepper and dried flowers over subtle oak. The palate is dry, broad and structured, with a clean flow and dark fruit-driven finish. Expressive and balanced, this is a refined Merlot with elegance and identity. Well done for the place and the year.

A fruity merlot with some sweet cherries, plums, spices and fine herbs. Medium-bodied on the palate with firm tannins and plenty of fruit in the finish. Generous, round and soft. Easy to appreciate. Merlot mostly coming from Marchigue.

Plush and fruity with rich black cherries, redcurrants and dark chocolate. A pleasant, medium-bodied merlot with silky, pastry-like tannins on the palate, together with black cherries and black olives. Quite resolved, with fluffy, plummy fruit and a long, delicate finish, showing immediate drinkability. A textbook merlot, mostly from Marchigue with around 10% cabernet sauvignon in the blend.
