


Well-marked by toasty oak, this white nonetheless features peach, yellow plum, apple tart and salty mineral accents. Complex and viscous, with terrific harmony and length. Juicy finish.


Peach, apple pie and warm spice flavors are enhanced by a seashore element in this fleshy white. The lemony acidity picks up presence on the butterscotch-tinged finish.


Aromas of pear, white flowers, nutmeg and pastry cream preface the 2021 Pouilly-Fuissé Tête de Cru Clos des Prouges, a medium to full-bodied, bright and satiny wine that’s pretty and precise, concluding with a saline finish. This is a stronger performer in this challenging vintage.


The 2023 Pouilly-Fuissé Clos des Prouges, which lies on marl soil, has a tensile and delineated nose, crushed stone permeating the yellow fruit, fresher than the Clos de Jeanne cuvée. The palate is edgy on the entry, a little creamy in texture yet complex, with palpable mineralité on the saline finish. The old vines, around 75 years of age, really impart complexity to this vintage.


The 2021 Pouilly-Fuissé Clos des Prouges might not be a Premier Cru, but it is treated like one by the winemaking team. Nevertheless, it doesn’t fully engage on the nose as much as the Clos de Jeanne. It’s tightly knit and stoic at the moment. The palate is better with fine weight. It’s fresh and malic in style, with a bright Granny Smith and yellow plum-infused finish. The 2021 ends on a high note
