Keenly structured and appealingly Old World, with cherry and raspberry flavors layered with forest floor, crushed stone and black tea accents. Ends with refined tannins.

The 2023 Résonance Vineyard Pinot Noir comes from own-rooted, dry-farmed vines planted in 1981, 1983 and 1987. Matured for 18 months in 30% new French oak, it has nuanced aromas of blackberry, pomegranate, oolong tea, lilac and graphite, revealing additional details with each return to the glass. The medium-bodied palate is powerfully styled with concentrated, layered flavors. It’s framed by velvety tannins and vibrant acidity and has a long, mineral-laced finish. It will benefit from time in the cellar. 820 cases were made.

Woodsy blackberry and herbs combine with wet stones, sage and rose petals as the 2024 Pinot Noir Résonance Vineyard smolders in the glass. Graceful and serene, it displays liquid-silk textures and a flood of supple red berry fruit that gives way to crisp mineral tones and an air of lavender toward the close. The 2024 Pinot Noir Résonance Vineyard finishes with dramatic length and potency, leaving a saturation of black cherry and autumnal spice framed by sweet tannins. The balance here is remarkable.

This pure and elegant wine is irresistible for its ripe red fruit, smooth texture and lingering, lacy finish… it is medium-bodied, silky and luxurious to sip. Strawberries, raspberries and sweet cherries on the palate, with accents of spearmint and cinnamon.

The deep ruby hue hints at the power in this wine. It’s got intense red- and black-fruit aromas on the nose, with a touch of rose and cotton candy. Full on the palate, with generous fruit fading to a perfectly balanced finish with hints of nutmeg and baking spice. Grown on Résonance’s 20-acre dry- and organically farmed home vineyard in Yamhill-Carlton, this comprises 60% Pommard clone Pinot planted in 1981, 20% Dijon 777 planted in 1983 and 20% Wadenswil planted in 1987. It was aged for 18 months in 30% new French oak. This is a fantastic wine for fans of Oregon Pinot power.
