This white shows a sharp underpinning of acidity, which defines smoky peach, stone and lemon flavors. Remains balanced while the flinty, mineral elements build to a lingering conclusion.

The 2023 Chablis Fourchaume 1er Cru has a clean, delineated nose with lemon verbena, Granny Smith and light oyster shell scents. The palate is well balanced with a keen thread of acidity. There is a patina of wood here, but it is proportionate to the fruit. Cohesive and long on the finish, this might be Jadot’s best cuvée of 2023.

Very attractive nose of crisp pear and vanilla oak with hints of coconut and pineapple. Quite powerful and very well-structured with vibrant, lemony acidity driving the chalky finish.
