Long and drawn out, with a harmonious stream of heather, anise, dried apricot and mandarin. Creamy and briny, with salty mineral accents soaring through. Fluid, with spicy ginger notes enlivening the racy finish, marked by bitter bergamot and lime peel. Excellent, with a perfect mix of richness and energy.

Lighter and more subtle in flavor than typical Pinot Gris, this wine offers delicate notes of ripe pear, white flowers, and a hint of almond. The balance is impeccable, with a crisp acidity that gives the wine a sense of freshness and lift, while the finish lingers with a quiet, mineral-driven complexity.

The 2024 Pinot Gris Clos Windsbuhl is tender and restrained on the nose, showing supple citrus with an edge of lovely, tart pear. The palate is utterly strait-laced, clean-cut, bright, lemony and vivid, not at all like your usual Pinot Gris but much more linear, zestier and straighter. The finish is a wonderfully pure tone of lemon. (Bone-dry)

The palate is amazingly taut and bright, but so unlike Pinot Gris. This is amongst the most streamlined and pure Pinot Gris I have ever tasted. What a wine. It is a testament to the limestones of this site and the absolute verve and energy that the Humbrechts bring.

How could a dry pinot gris be more radically cool and focused than this mind-blowing wine? The freshness and concentration are equally dangerous. Either you will think this is absurd or it will be a revelation for you.
