The 2024 Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (Maison Louis Jadot) has turned out beautifully, wafting from the glass with notes of orange oil, peach, white flowers and toasted nuts. Medium- to full-bodied, satiny and pure, with racy acids, good mid-palate density and a long, saline finish, it’s a real success.

The 2024 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (Maison Louis Jadot) opens in the glass with aromas of sweet stone and orchard fruits mingled with toasted nuts and honey. Medium- to full-bodied, with a satiny attack and creditable mid-palate density, it’s a solid effort.

The 2024 Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru has a delectable bouquet with yellow plum, crushed stone and just a touch of caramelised pear coming through with aeration. The palate is well balanced with a slightly nutty, flinty opening. This has a keen line of acidity, good depth with flecks of white chocolate and almond towards the pretty finish. This lingers temptingly and keeps drawing you back for more. Very promising.

This is aromatically quite similar to the Pucelles save for a dollop of wood spice. There is a plush mouthfeel to the slightly bigger and richer but just as refined medium-bodied flavors that possess good energy on the equally well-balanced and lingering finish. In the same vein as the Pucelles, the 2019 BBM is exceptionally stylish.
