The 2018 Turlo mixes notes of raspberry, mint leaf and hints of rose to create a fruity and inviting bouquet. It’s soft-textured and silky-smooth, with ripe red and blue berries coasting along a core of juicy acidity. Violet florals and hints of lavender linger long as this tapers off pleasantly refreshing. The Turlo, a no-frills blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, is geared for early consumption and ready to please.

A firm and spicy red with a deep core of ripe fruit and a cedary aftertaste. It offers notes of ripe cherries, wild berries, dark chocolate, ground cloves and bark. Full, compact and pretty tight on the palate, with chewy tannins. A bit austere at the end, but nicely filled with fruit.
