This red seduces with a dense core of creamy fruit shored up with graphite mineral elements. Open and inviting on the palate, with well-integrated notes of grilled sandalwood smoke and warm spices. Tangy acidity powers the finish.

The 2023 Cornas Les Grandes Terrasses begins its aromatic expression with ripe black cherry, blackberry, smoky tones and snippets of orange blossom. Fleshy gradations add more aromatic breadth. Mid-range but almost full in feel, the 2023 is a delicious Cornas, ready to be enjoyed right out of the gate. This significantly outperforms the 2022 I tasted last year.

A dense, precise and textural Cornas with loads of spices. The nose reveals notes of wild berries, warm herbs and baking spices with some hot stones. Medium-bodied with fine tannins. It has a juicy center palate with a refreshing core of pulpy berries.

A dense and profound nose of ripe black berries, dark plums, smoke and cloves. Full-bodied with fine tannins. Good integration of oak here framing the wine. Rich core of berries at the center with a creamy texture and a generous, ample finish.
