Notes of white fruits and spring flowers mingled with a delicate citrus touch preface the 2024 Saint-Joseph Le Grand Pompée Blanc, a moderately weighted, round and supple wine that’s fresh and juicy, concluding with a mouthwatering finish.

Marsanne grapes create a broad shouldered white, earning attention with depth rather than flash. Ripe peach and marzipan are threaded with lime blossom and creamy vanilla honeycomb.

From a blend of 80% Marsanne and 20% Roussanne aged eight months on fine lees in concrete eggs, French oak barrels, and stainless steel tanks, the 2024 Saint Joseph Le Grand Pompee Blanc offers bright citrus, tangerine, honeyed white flowers, mint, and a kiss of minerality. It’s medium-bodied, with a balanced, layered mouthfeel, bright integrated acidity, and a great finish. This is another solid effort made from estate fruit as well as purchased grapes vinified by Jaboulet. Drink 2026-2029.
