Weighty and ripe, with peach and apricot flecked with honeysuckle high tones and offset by bitter grapefruit pith and white tea tannins. Green herbs add a savory element to the ripe, warm palate, with the finish etched in firming mineral notes.

The 2022 Hermitage Le Chevalier de Sterimberg Blanc unfurls in the glass with aromas of almonds, flowers, confit citrus and brioche mingled with delicate spicy notes. Medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, it has a fleshy core of fruit, bright acids….

Pronounced jasmine, honeysuckle, yellow apple, cedar and zesty lemon flesh aromas introduce the 2023 Hermitage La Chapelle Blanc Le Chevalier de Sterimberg. Articulate and complex, it contains crisp acidity, which can partially be traced back to blocking malolactic fermentation. Concluding with lively tension on the sapid finish, the 2023 is a delicious white Hermitage.

… An animating freshness that makes this full-bodied dry white feel surprisingly light on its feet. Delicate fresh almond, candied citrus rind and verbena aromas are wrapped around an imposing mineral core.

Based on 87% Marsanne and 13% Roussanne, the 2024 Hermitage Le Chevalier De Sterimberg Blanc is beautiful with ripe quince, pineapple, acacia flowers, and mint-driven aromatics. It’s medium-bodied on the palate, has remarkable purity, a lively, focused yet still textured mouthfeel, nicely integrated acidity, and outstanding length. It’s not massive or incredibly concentrated, yet I love its balance, purity and finesse. Drink 2026-2036.
