Notes of slate and fresh thyme pave the way for this pure and juicy style, which offers a lush core of strawberry and raspberry, with contrasting minerality and chili pepper notes folding in on the finish around fine tannins.

Opening with a savory, herbal and chocolate-tinged nose, the 2022 Estate Cabernet Franc is bright, high-toned and focused on the palate. It concludes with a deftly rich, refined and pleasantly drying finish. This is a lovely expression of Uco Valley Cabernet Franc that balances taut vibrancy and textural polish.

The 2020 Estate Cabernet Franc was produced with grapes from their Campo de los Andes vineyard in Vista Flores. It fermented in concrete vats, and 50% of the wine matured in used barriques for 12 months. It’s peppery, herbal and varietal, with controlled ripeness and 14% alcohol, but it shows the effect of the warmer year with a riper profile and not the same quality of tannins. But it’s still very good and especially at this price.

Plum and smoky aromas are subtle on the nose of this easy-sipping red. Flavors of tart cherry and grass fill the mouth. The smooth palate features soft tannins and lively acidity, providing a fresh finish that includes leafy notes.

This is a fresh and fruity cabernet franc. Blueberries, raspberries, sliced chiles and moss on the nose follow through to a medium palate. Fine, lightly sappy tannins.
