This white gold colored sparkler from Domaine Carneros opens with tiny streaming bubbles and a complex bouquet featuring a quince, chamomile tea and mild grapefruit along with hints of almond and toasted brioche. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied, frothy and has elevated bright acidity that is managed and not overpowering. The flavor profile is a lemon and brioche blend with nicely integrated stony minerality. We also detected hints of ginger, chamomile tea, baked apple and white pepper. The finish is dry, extended and refreshing. This Sparkler is a very nice summer sipper.
