Plum, blackberry, dark cherry, chocolate and spice on the nose. It’s full-bodied with chewy tannins. Structured and concentrated on the palate with plenty of fruit. Firm, tannic and flavorful finish.

Tempranillo makes up only ten percent of this blend, syrah 30, but together they tip the balance toward a Mediterranean feel, taking cabernet and carmenere in a ripe, floral direction. A fresh herb character and an earthiness, like pressed flowers, highlights the fragrant red fruit of the wine, keeping it high toned and spicy.

This dark ruby colored blend from Montes opens with a green pepper and black plum bouquet with hints of graphite and faint raspberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. It is balanced and a juicy. The flavor profile is a green pepper and red plum blend with notes of black cherry and crushed stone notes with a hint of green olive. The finish is dry and its mild dusty tannins linger for a bit.
