The 2024 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru is a clear step up from the Charmes and Genevrières this year, with a beautifully defined mineral-driven bouquet that blossoms in the glass. The palate is taut and fresh, intense with racy acidity, real depth and drive. Very cohesive all the way through to the finish, there is a sense of completeness here derived from the propitious terroir. Superb.

The slower ripening imparted a distinct and wonderful stony aspect to wine, characteristic of the site. Its mineral component is simply stunning.

The texture of the middle weight flavors is finer still and with more evident minerality as well on the solidly detailed and sneaky long finale. This classy effort is really quite stylish.
