The 2022 Savigny-lès-Beaune Clos des Guettes 1er Cru is a little backward on the nose: raspberry, blackberry, orange rind and light sous-bois aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. Lovely caressing mouthfeel here, well-judged acidity and a very harmonious finish. Often one of Jadot’s strongest cards, this is a worthy follow-up to the impressive 2021.

Floral and perfumed with aromas of rose petals, crushed blueberries, hibiscus and cherries. The palate is fresh and precise with finely integrated tannins and a textural, chalky, tightly wound mouthfeel. Lovely tension and lightness. This has great aging potential, albeit drinking well now. Delicious.

Well structured and moderately tannic, this medium-bodied wine has a nice grip on the palate as fine-grained tannins surround tart cherries, raspberries and light oak spices for a vivid, lively expression and the ability to age well. Drink now or hold.
