The 2024 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Fuées (Domaine Louis Jadot) has turned out well, with both a sunny site and the success of caterpillar tracked engines for treatments playing in its favor. Offering up notes of cherries, petals and spices, it’s medium-bodied, fine-boned and suave, with an elegant but complete profile.

An excellent balance of finesse and depth, showing aromas of dried strawberries, fresh flowers, blueberry bush, wet bark, blood oranges and citrus peel. The silken, textural palate has an elusive yet rounded mouthfeel, fine-grained tannins and a bright acidity that finishes polished. From a great premier cru that exudes class.

The very deep sour-cherry nose with delicate floral notes pulls you into the gravitational field of this remarkable Chambolle-Musigny. It manages to be riper and more concentrated than the wines of this appellation normally are, yet it retains fabulous mineral and blood-orange freshness that enables this to light up the night sky like a fireworks display. Very long and energetic finish. From organically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but best from 2024.

Classical elegance on the concentrated and tightly structured palate, the finely chiseled tannins supporting the ripe yet sleek palate very nicely. Very long, firm and chalky finish that’s laser-beam bright.
