The 2020 Beaujolais (Maison Louis Jadot) offers up generous aromas of berry fruit, plums and petals, followed by a medium-bodied, succulent palate with lively acids and powdery tannins.
This wine has more there-there than most Beaujolais. Initially muted on the nose, the wine benefits from being swirled in your glass which unlocks aromas of black raspberry, black tea and rosehip. Somewhat-chalky tannins lead on the attack followed by pencil shavings and dried red cherry on the finish.

This is a robust Beaujolais that holds its own. Deep-purple in color, this wine has a perfumed nose of black plum, blackberry, dried violet blossom and dried black cherry. Additional notes of forest floor and hay reveal themselves on the palate, which is concentrated with a slightly velvety texture.
Limpid violet. Fresh red berry and cherry aromas and flavors show good clarity and spicy lift. Light-bodied and tangy in style, developing a bitter chocolate nuance with air. Finishes tight and spicy, with just a hint of tannins.
