Broad and fleshy, offering well-integrated flavors of plum, cherry, menthol and iron, plus a firm structure. Deftly balanced, with a long, fruit- and savory-infused aftertaste. Juicy and refreshing on the finish

The Michele Chiarlo 2023 Barbaresco Reyna is a velvety, richly textured expression that leans into the generous character of the vintage. Produced in 30,000 bottles, the wine delivers dark fruit aromas of blackberry and plum with light shadings of tobacco, baking spice and dried herbs. The palate is broad and full, carried by concentrated fruit weight and ample volume before finishing with savory notes of spice and tobacco. This is a richer, more expansive interpretation of Barbaresco that favors texture over delicacy.

A ripe, fruity style, showing prunes, black cherries, licorice and bark, plus vibrant smashed flowers and a deep rhubarb undertone. Medium-bodied, offering firm, dusty yet polished tannins, with brilliant acidity and a tight, tense finish. Drink or hold.

A very floral style focused on roses with overt red cherries and balsamic. Slightly earthy. This has medium body and crisp acidity, showing good fruit definition supported by firm, dusty yet ripe tannins, still young at the moment. It will need time to soften.

This has a pretty nose of dried flowers, tea leaves, cocoa beans, nutmeg and wild berry fruit. It’s focused and precise with a tight tannin frame and a full body. Excellent balance.
