Lovely spice aromas. Lavender. Classically made.
This bright ruby colored Pinot Noir from Carneros opens with a cherry-cola and red raspberry bouquet with hints of iron filings. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. I also found it to be balanced and savory. The flavor profile is an earth and stewed black plum blend with notes of charred oak and blackberry. I also detected hints of anise, rosemary, and black pepper. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely.
Dried cherries, plums, strawberries, licorice and cloves on the nose. It’s medium-bodied with soft, ripe tannins and a caressing texture. Juicy, round and flavorful. Savory-earth notes come out on the finish.
