This wine is superfresh, ripe citrus, dried herbs, white pepper, gliding into zesty pink grapefruit, dried cumin, and fennel seed. The finish is long, strong with cracked black pepper. One of the movements in wine is “less is more.” This one does not disappoint. It is offering low-alcohol, low carbs, sustainable production and a charity component. Pair with fish tacos, seafood and lighter fare.
This wine is opulent, with aromas of fresh black plums, black cherry, vanilla cream, cinnamon on the nose. The midpalate is blueberry, dried mulberry, black pepper, bittersweet chocolate rounding into sweet cigar. Lots of flavor without the extra carbs. Pair with roasted chicken
This pale straw-colored Chardonnay is lighter bodied than most Chardonnays I have covered. It opens with a shy citrus, floral bouquet with notes of light herbs. The wine is brisk, lively, and round with good acidity and noted minerality. The flavor profile is a citrus, lemon zest and saline blend with notes of pears, tangerines, and very light spices. The finish was dry, pleasant, and lingered nicely. I would recommend pairing this Chardonnay with baked scallops and Ritz cracker topping.
Not as simple as its name suggests, this well-balanced and full-bodied wine contrasts rich, ripe pear and apple flavors with light baking spices and a touch of butter.
