There are only two 350-liter barrels of the 2024 Montrachet Grand Cru (Maison Louis Jadot), another notable success in the range this year. Wafting from the glass with notes of pear, toasted nuts, peach and honeycomb, it’s full-bodied, ample and satiny, suave and seamless, showing how well this site performs in more challenging years.

The 2024 Chambertin Grand Cru (Maison Louis Jadot) is giving and expressive, offering up notes of raspberries and rose petals followed by a medium-bodied, supple and soft palate that’s lively and suave.

The most structured white in the cellar this year is the 2024 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (Domaine des Héritiers Jadot), a taut and chiseled wine evocative of wet stones, crisp orchard fruit, white flowers and lime salt. Medium- to full-bodied, chiseled and racy, it’s built around tangy acids and chalky dry extract that asserts itself on the finish.

The 2024 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru Les Demoiselles (Domaine des Héritiers Jadot) is another real success, offering up notes of wet stones, white flowers, crisp orchard fruit and nutmeg. Medium- to full-bodied, satiny and pure, with excellent depth and cut, it concludes with a long, mineral finish.

The 2024 Musigny Grand Cru (Domaine Louis Jadot) seems to transcend the limitations of the year, offering up aromas of cherries, dark berries, petals and spices. On the palate, it’s full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with excellent density, supple tannins and a long, lively finish.
